PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

Here using the example of order processing:
The first step in optimizing order fulfillment is to analyze the current process to understand it. What problems exist in the current process? What causes of the problems can employees name? What is the impact of the problems in terms of lead times, costs and process quality? What is required to process an order completely and without errors? Who is involved in the process and when, and with what performance? What information and resources are needed? Practical methods, proven under high time pressure, help to quickly and purposefully identify waste and to design pragmatic solutions for rapid improvement. Process analysis and optimization always take into account the organizational categories of clarifying responsibility, defining interfaces and qualifying employees. In addition, IT system functionality and performance are reviewed and adjusted.
Wherever possible, tasks - from order confirmation to invoicing - are automated. This saves time, costs and reduces the workload of employees.
In complex processes, information technology plays an increasingly important role when it comes to efficient processes. But production facilities also have to meet modern standards if work is to be done economically. Systems should be monitored by means of modern sensors and intelligently linked in the production flow. This optimizes production planning and control, but also helps in modern maintenance management (predictive maintenance).
