Logistics

I support you in designing the following four essential cornerstones of a sustainable logistics concept.

First cornerstone: Integrative linking of procurement, production and shipping logistics with alignment to the customer cycle.

Second cornerstone: Companies must be able to respond flexibly and at short notice to changes in the market (agility). This can be achieved through the use of just-in-time production, dynamic warehousing and transport systems, and organizational measures.

Third cornerstone: Internal and external customers need transparency. They want to know where their orders are and when they are expected. A good logistics concept therefore offers transparency throughout the entire delivery process. This can be ensured by using tracking systems, e-mail notifications, other technical or organizational solutions.

Fourth cornerstone: Logistics generates costs and pollutant emissions due to high energy requirements. It is therefore important that companies develop and implement sustainable logistics concepts. Rising CO2 prices will foreseeably increase transport costs. In addition to organizational measures, the use of environmentally friendly means of transport and energy-efficient storage systems should therefore be examined from a cost-benefit perspective.
